Allure is in immediate need of a freelance producer for a 6-12 episode series of two-way interviews. Responsibilities include:
  • Establish guiding principles, style guide, voice/tone, structure/format, audio-elements, and the timeline for the show
  • Manage production schedule, workflow, and deliverables
  • Define content, episodes, and narrative arc with Editorial Lead, and sourcing stories and topics with Beauty Freelancer
  • Plan, sketch and/or script episodes and interviews
  • Record with hosts and guests; coach hosts if needed
  • Produce episodes (up to preliminary mix)

Podcast Community Marketing Manager (part-time) – Adonde Media (Brooklyn/ Remote)

In this role, you will develop and execute strategic marketing campaigns for Adonde Media projects, as well as manage the day-to-day marketing and social media activities of Adonde Media and our Spanish-language podcast community, Podcaster@s.

This is a bilingual position (English/Spanish). It is a part-time (10-19 or 20-29 hours), fully remote, contract position that may lead to a full-time salary position with benefits. Creative Producer (Remote) – The Nod

Seeking a Creative Producer for a daily talk show focusing on Black culture and current events. Responsibilities include: Produce 5-7 minute episodes, brainstorms show ideas, pre-interview guests; write scripts, prep guests.

Candidates should have at least five years of experience producing talk, studio, and or live programming and possess an in-depth knowledge of Black culture. Strong writing background preferred. Must be detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.

The position will be remote, run for 6 weeks, and begin immediately.

Associate Producer (Remote)

Seeking an Associate Producer for The Nod with Brittany & Eric (Five days a week, hosts Brittany Luse and Eric Eddings dig into the biggest moments and most under-explored corners of Black culture, as told by the actors, musicians, writers, thinkers, chefs, activists, artists, and everyday people who live it) on Quibi.

Responsibilities include: Conduct research on topics and guests; fact check all episodes; search for and acquire media to incorporate into episodes and track rights and clearances; take field notes and create hot sheets.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience as an Associate Producer working within talk, studio, and or live programming. Candidates should possess an in-depth knowledge of Black culture. Must be detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.

Signal to Noise AwardGuilded Audio

Every year the Gilded Audio team holds The Signal to Noise Award in collaboration with Union Docs, providing the winner with a $5,000 production grant to create an audio project or series.

Development Programs & Internships

Spotify Sound Up  (4-Week, Virtual) – Spotify

Sweden – Studies show that only 22% of podcasts globally are hosted by women, and even fewer are hosted by women in under-represented groups *. Since 2018, Spotify has conducted Sound Up in different parts of the world to enable a positive change and allow more voices to be heard. We are incredibly happy to now take the Sound Up program to Sweden starting this autumn! Sound Up is a four-week virtual program for 20 selected people, which through seminars and training offers support for people who want to develop their own podcast and make a name for themselves in the podcast industry. You do not need any previous experience; all you need is an idea.

UK – While black women have been breaking ground in podcasting, we know there’s more work to be done and more voices to be heard. That’s why Spotify created Sound Up, an immersive accelerator to create space and provide resources for new podcasters. You don’t need any experience; all you need is an idea.

Google Podcasts Creator Program (12-Week, Virtual) – PRX & Google

A partnership between PRX and Google – is back and we’re so excited to meet even more incredible creators from around the world! 

Selected participants will receive:

  • Virtual training on topics such as storytelling, sound design, and marketing
