Audio Producer (Multiple)Washington Post PR (Washington, D.C.)

The Washington Post is looking for producers to shape and elevate feature and enterprise podcast stories.

Senior Producer – This person will work on a wide range of stories from short, non-narrated features to standalone miniseries, including duties for Post Reports. The strongest candidate will have a journalism background, along with experience in editing and producing podcasts. The ideal candidates should have expertise in story development and executing sound-rich, long-form audio.

Audio Producer – This person will work on politics-focused audio projects and become the lead producer of our “Can He Do That?” podcast.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in political news coverage, understand what people want to know about politics, and be able to generate fresh ideas for audio storytelling.

These positions are based in our Washington newsroom and is not eligible for remote work.

Podcast ProduceriHeartMedia (New York)

We’re looking for a production juggernaut: someone who’s comfortable listening to a ton of tape and stitching the gems together into cohesive and addictive shows. The job is super hands-on, under the guidance of a supervising producer, you’ll manage hosts, shape stories, book guests, prep and outsource research, and work with a team to create sparkling audio. You’ll record in both studio and the field, and you’ll often take the first pass at shaping the story and mixing a recording.
