What self-care tips can you share with podcasters who are feeling burnout?
Sheena Yap Chan: When I am feeling overwhelmed, I detach from my podcast. I will go to the gym, read a book, or watch something on Netflix. Having mini-breaks clears me up and helps me to keep going. Also, having seasonal breaks helps too.

What self-care tips can you share with podcasters who are feeling burnout or podfade?
Tangia Renee: There is no one size fits all approach to podfade or general burnout. You are likely doing too many things, or you have lost sight of your vision. This happens to everyone at some point.
I recommend taking a step back and asking yourself what you need right now to feel grounded and good about yourself, then go do that for a short time to give yourself the mental break you need. It can be as simple as taking a weekend to relax or reading a book. Whatever you need to do, you need to do it away from the podcast to get yourself into a different mental space.
After your mental break is a good time to ask yourself why did you start the project to begin with and what you want from it. Allow yourself to dream about what the show could be if money and time were not considerations. Does that dream still feel exciting and authentic to you, and do the reasons why you started still resonate? Do you want to continue?
If the answer is no to these questions, then it’s probably time to evaluate if continuing on your current path is worth the investment. Remember, you are allowed to pivot at any time. If it doesn’t work for you as the creator, then it doesn’t work, and you should adjust accordingly. If you answer yes to the questions, then something needs to be adjusted to make it easier for you to achieve your goals.
